Let’s Write!

Deanna Richards began her career as an educator and program manager before becoming a licensed mental health counselor, business owner, and writer. With over two decades in the education and mental health wellness fields, Deanna has written and presented extensively, creating content that is both informative and accessible to diverse audiences. In addition to content writing, Deanna writes fiction with a focus on stories for young readers.

Deanna helps her clients reach their writing goals by using thoughtful, intuitive, and wellness-based approaches. Whether fiction or non-fiction, authors can expect thorough and detailed developmental editing that guides the work to be the best possible version of itself.

Deanna holds an ED.M. in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University, an MA in English from Brooklyn College, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Lesley University.

When she is not working, reading, or writing, Deanna can be found traveling, spending time with her human partner and feline companions, or gaming!
